‘Black Widows’ and ‘Used Body Parts’ Actress Brigitte Graham Steps into the Spotlight
Brigitte Graham in the Film Fan Hot Seat
FFH: At what age did you know you wanted to be an actor?
BG: When I was very young! I distinctly recall being around 3 years old and telling my parents I could and wanted to act. My sweet mother got me a gig as a featured extra on a show she was working on and I completely froze up! I went into early retirement and then returned to acting when I was 7 years old. It's been one of my favorite things to do creatively ever since.
FFH: Where did you grow up and when was the last time you visited?
BG: I grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California. It's been consistently growing there since I was young but has always maintained somewhat of a small town vibe. I actually recently visited this year to celebrate my grandmother's birthday at a delicious BBQ spot out there. I'll go anywhere if the food is good!
FFH: At the movie theater concessions stand. Which do you choose: soda, popcorn or candy?
BG: I'm not going to pretend like I don't choose all 3 options! My usual order is a buttery popcorn, raisinets, and a cherry Coca Cola or Sprite! But if the theater has it, a cherry coke Icee will definitely happen.
FFH: Movie rental kiosk/app. Which category do you select first: new release, action, horror, comedy or documentary?
BG: Comedy and horror/thriller are my go-to categories. I prefer dark comedies and suspenseful thrillers, but I'm an all around film lover. I want to see the good, the bad, and everything in between!
FFH: What are your top 5 favorite films of all time?
BG: Subject to change of course! 😉
- Signs
- Almost Famous
- Captain Fantastic
- What We Do In The Shadows
- Maniac
FFH: An actor or director whom you haven't worked with yet, but would like to on a future project.
BG: Ah, the master of the twist, M. Night Shyamalan! It was so hard not to list 5 of his films as my favorites. I am really impressed with his recent work and just in awe of his body of work as a whole. And how each film is so unique to any genre that tries to claim it. He's just the man to me. I would jump at the chance to work on one of his projects.
FFH: What projects are you currently working on?
BG: A feature film I costarred in called Black Widows is out and available on Itunes, Amazon, Youtube, etc. Check out www.blackwidowsthemovie.com for where to stream or order a dvd! It's a very dark comedy you guys might enjoy if you want a short break from horror but still want a little murder in your movie! I'm also prepping to direct and act in a thriller short film I wrote. I'm incredibly intimidated and excited as a first time director, but there's going to be a lot of blood and fun! Hopefully it will find a spot in festivals next season.
FFH: Where can fans stay updated with you on Social Media?
BG: Forgive me but I'm not that active on social media! I'll try to get better. You can find me on Instagram @theegrahamcracker and the Facebook pages for Used Body Parts https://www.facebook.com/UsedBodyParts/ and Black Widows https://www.facebook.com/BlackWidowsthemovie
