DiCaprio’s gruesome wounds that could bleed and be stitched are up for an Oscar

The thrilling "bear attack" scene in Leonardo DiCaprio's 'The Revenant' had moviegoers on the edge of their seats. The attack was just half of the battle for the production team. The other being realistic wounds that would bleed and have the ability to be stitched.

DiCaprio spent nearly five hours a day in a chair with British make-up Duncan Jarman.

Duncan's attention to detail and skill when creating DiCaprio's bear attack wounds paid off big time. Both Duncan and DiCaprio have been nominated for an Oscar.
