Talent Spotlight focuses on Actress Saadet Aksoy
Getting to know Saadet
Born in Turkey, Saadet Aksoy is a talented actress receiving acclaim both at home and internationally. Saadet studied English Language and Literature at Bogazici University in Istanbul. Her background includes television, film and theatre, which she starred in the Turkish version of Steel Magnolias.
Saadet burst onto the scene during the 2007 Director’s Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival for her performance in “Egg”, which has garnered multiple awards. In 2009 the Turkish film “Love Another Language” was a huge success. Aksoy took home the award for Best Actress at the Ankara International Film Festival as well as the Bursa Silk Road Film Festival.
Saadet is best known for “Love Another Language" (2009), “Yumurta (Egg)" (2007) and “Twice Born" (2012). Without a doubt, Saadet Aksoy has an extremely bright future ahead of her and we will be watching!

FF: An actor or director whom you haven't worked with yet, but would like to on a future project.
SA: My dream project would be with Anthony Hopkins.
FF: Where did you grow up and when was the last time you visited?
SA: I grew up in Istanbul and I was there two months ago.
FF: At the movie theater concessions stand. Which do you choose: soda, popcorn or candy?
SA: Always popcorn. To me, popcorn equals to movies. Where there is no movies, there is no popcorn! 🙂
FF: Movie rental kiosk. Which category do you select first: new release, action, horror, comedy or documentary?
SA: I usually go for an interesting documentary if I'm renting and watching something at home.
FF: What are your top 5 favorite films of all time?
SA: It's such a difficult question as there are so many films that have great impact on my life but the first ones that cross my mind now are:
